Most of us believe that it is almost impossible to build a new web site and not launch it with a basic XML Sitemap for better search visibility. But experienced SEOs know that it is not really needed for all sites, especially smaller sites, and today we have Google backing that up too.

Googler, John Mueller said that with a site of that size, one doesn’t really need a Sitemap file. Google will generally be able to crawl and index everything regardless.

Lately, there have been the WebmasterWorld thread discussions on the lack of Panda Updates recently. A major gap can be seen in the Panda updates since 11/18:

Panda 3.1 on November 18th

Panda 2.5.3 on October 19/20th

Panda 2.5.2 on October 13th

Panda 2.5.1 on October 9th

Panda 2.5 on September 28th

Panda 2.4 in August

Panda 2.3 on around July 22nd.

Panda 2.2 on June 18th or so.

Panda 2.1 on May 9th or so.

Panda 2.0 on April 11th or so.

If you will use the Google search results, you will notice a strange thing. The Google +1 button in the search results will by default be hidden until you place your mouse cursor over the search result.

But when you mouse over the search result, the +1 button appears. When you click the +button, it will highlight blue.
