FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATION

Mosaic Services, a leading search engine marketing firm, celebrated its 3rd Birthday on the 10th of October, 2006. With a lot of festivity and hoopla, Mosaic Services completed its 3rd anniversary. If the day was marked with a lot of conviviality and glorification, the night was a complete blow out.

The buzz

For the past one month the only topic that grasped every Mosemp’s imagination and conversation was “What’s hot this Foundation Day?”The grapevines became juicier than ever, the conversations were more enjoyable. However the laughter and the thrill were also accompanied by serious pondering over the planning of events, what would work and what would not.The cultural committee requested a meeting almost everyday and every meeting turned out to be heated arguments followed by jokes followed by bursts of laughter.

The day

Finally on10th October, Mosemps entered the office, one after the other, greeting everybody on their way, exchanging more jokes and more laughter than usual. Everyone gasped at how beautiful the other one is looking. The cultural committee members were to be seen everywhere, rushing off with the last moment preparations. More “Hurry ups!”, “Wow! Look at you.” and “Get me the blah blah!” were heard all over the office premise.

The siesta was busted when everyone, after lunch, pooled in the big hall where Pranjal (the marketing hot shot) and Shahana (the ace content writer) welcomed and guided all the Mosemps through the entire program. With their lively and vivacious conversation, they lighted up the afternoon for a heavy duty presentation by the senior manager operations, Sachin Bansal, on where the organization lies today and what has it achieved so far.

This was followed by a discussion where, Vikas Malhotra, the Managing Director himself, had a tête-à-tête with his entire organization . He shed light on the past, the present and the future of Mosaic Services. He shared his dream and where he envisions the firm to be.

All throughout everybody was shown a bird’s eye view of the organization’s growth path. Now it was turn to look at it with a microscope. Short reports were presented by the various team leads on their departments’ achievements and goals. Amidst the team cheering, the awards for the best team and best employee of the year were declared along with recognitions for various big and small feats achieved by various Mosemps.

The night

It couldn’t get any better. The entire office thronged at a posh little restro-bar in the city to celebrate the night. By and by everyone came and joined the party along with their spouses. The party began with an interesting game where everyone was supposed to do something crazy. Mosemps jeered at each other and also cheered each other. Ruchira and Ramesh sang a duet while Ashmita, the teetotaler was forced to do a bottom’s up with a full glass of beer. Tarun re- proposed his fiancé while Meenakshi was proposed by several guys. It all ended in good humor with Vikas’ ‘shaeri’ which then let loose the gates for every one to enjoy and dance away to glory till the wee hours.
